Polish Hall. Polish Art of 19th and 20th century

The collection of works of art presented in the Polish Museum:paintings, graphic arts, old prints and maps, artistic creations such as porcelain, silver, glass, come mainly from gifts or bequests by Poles and friend of Poles from the whole world. The interior decoration of the Polish Hall where these works of art are displayed reflects back to the 19th century exhibition of the Polish National Museum located there in 19th century.

Polensaal. Polnische Kunst des 19. und 20. Jh.

Die in Polenmuseum gezeigten Gegenstände: Gemälde, Graphiken, Altdrucke und Atlanten, Kunstgewerbe aus Porzellan, Silber, Glas sind vorwiegend Geschenke und Nachlässe von im Westen lebenden Polen und Polenfreunden. Die Decke des sog. Polensaals trägt Wappen polnischer Städte und Provinzen aus der Zeit des Polenmuseums um 1895. Ihre heutige Gestaltung soll an den Stil und Geist von damals erinnern.

Sala Polska. Sztuka polska z XIX i XX wieku

Zbiory dzieł sztuki prezentowane w Muzeum Polskim: malarstwo, grafika, starodruki, mapy, wyroby rzemiosła artystycznego jak porcelana, srebra, szkło, pochodzą przede wszystkim z darów lub zapisów Polaków i przyjaciół Polski z całego świata. Wystrój Sali Polskiej, gdzie dzieła te są wystawione, nawiązuje do XIX-wiecznej ekspozycji mieszczącego się tu przed laty Polskiego Muzeum Narodowego. Herby ziem i miast polskich malowane na stropie wykonano około 1895 roku.
