Festive Concert of Polish Music

Rapperswil, 27 September 2008, 7 p.m.

Grosser Rittersaal, Schloss Rapperswil

The concert is organised together with Association “Musiksommer am Zürichsee” and ends a series of music concerts presented in the annual festival.

Before the concert will take place opening of an exhibition about the life and work of Constantin Regamey, who spent a large part of his life in Poland. "Persian Song", excerpts from the "Etudes pour voix de femmes" and "Mazurkas" by Frédéric Chopin performed by well-known soprano Pauline Viardot-Garcia, make this program unique.

The planned concert closes the three-day scientific conference (25-27 September) devoted to the Confederation of Bar. The Conference is organized to celebrate the 200-anniversary of the birth of Wladyslaw hr. Plater, the founder of the Polish Museum in Rapperswil in the year 1870, and the 140-anniversary of placing the column of Bar next to the castle.
