ANNA STOLARCZYK - soprano

born in 1980 in Rabka (PL).

In 1998 she began taking singing lessons from Ewa Kowalczyk in the Krakow Music Conservatoire and from 2001 continued in the singing class of her teacher at the Music Academy in Krakow. During her study she gained the first vocational experiences on the stages of  opera, operetta houses and the Philharmonic Concert Hall in Krakow. As a member of the group of artists of "TABERNA LIBRA", she has interpreted a broad repertoire of songs of Polish composers (Szymanowski, Paderewski, Chopin, Moniuszko, Niewiadomski, Gall).

In November 2004 she was chosen to sing the solo portion of the first  soprano  in the work "Siedem bram Jerozolimy" (Seven gates of  Jerusalem) of Krzysztof Penderecki, under his direction. As of December 2004 she performs in the productions of Krakow Kammer Opera.

She is currently  studying at the Music Conservatoire of Neuchâtel in Switzerland under the direction of M. Habela and actively participates in the master courses, which are taught by the pedagogues from the Bach-Academy Stuttgart, as well as by Polish teachers like Ryszard Karczykowski and Urszula Trawinska Moroz.

From 2006 she is working for the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne under the direction of Michel Corboz. As a soloist she works also with other Swiss conductors, like Nicolas Farine or Christophe Gesseney. In January 2007 she sang the  soprano aria from C Debussy's Lyrikpoem "La Damoiselle elue" under Guillaum Tourniaire. Together with the French pianist Solveig Breger she performs in numerous recitals of songs, as well as opera- and operetta from the lyric soprano repertoire. She often takes up musical arias in her concert programs.
