 The rooms of the Library

 

Collection of Jadwiga and Jan Nowak-Jeziorański there is in two first rooms.

First room of the exhibition is dedicated to the "Courier from Warsaw". Among others there are presented personal remembrances and a number of interesting documents from the war period also about 100 letters addressed by well-known Polish émigrés to Jan Nowak when he was Managing Director of Polish Section of Radio Free Europe (RFE).

The second room contains large, unique map of Poland from 1772, a number of old plans and views of Warsaw, graphics of 19th century, in particular the collections: "Polish attires" by J.P. Norblin and uniform series from the periods 1800-1812 and 1830-1831, as well as graphics from the period of Swedish wars (17th century) and the precious remembrances from Kościuszko period. 

In show cases are visible: the set of scripts of Polish writers (H. Sienkiewicz, Wł. Reymont) also the letters and official statements of Polish kings.

The third room is dedicated to the family Romer from Cytowiany. Beside book collection, family remembrances and photographies also the pictures by Zofia Dembowska-Romer are presented.
